Welcome to Emerging, the official podcast of the Trout Unlimited and Costa 5 Rivers program. 5 Rivers is a national network of TU-affiliated college fly fishing clubs seeking to engage college, students, through community outreach and fishing trips. Our goal is to create positive change within the TU Costa 5 Rivers community and beyond by amplifying intelligent, diverse, and positive voices. Carl Haensel is a fly fishing guide in northeastern Minnesota and the Brule area of northern Wisconsin. He and his wife Jade are the owners of Namebini guiding service. Carl is also a writer, photographer, and educator. Carl is involved with the local Gitche Gumee TU Chapter and is the Northern Minnesota Vice Chair of TU. Carl shares his experiences in the fly-fishing industry and gives some good fishing tips. We also hear about the upcoming Great Waters Fly Fishing Expo in March.
